EXHIBIT ON VIEW SEPTEMBER 26–OCTOBER 31, 2026: Foltz Fine Art presents “Fragments from the Chihuahuan Desert”, a solo exhibition of new work by Terry Suprean. Developed through an extended period of research in and around Big Bend, the exhibition brings together experimental paintings and works on paper that consider the Chihuahuan Desert as both a physical landscape and a site of spiritual, ecological, and material inquiry.

OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, September 26, 2026 | 4–6 PM
ARTIST TALK: Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 2–4 PM

Suprean began the paintings in Fragments from the Chihuahuan Desert during a residency at Willow House near Big Bend in the summer of 2025. Over the following year, he repeatedly returned to the region, observing, photographing, journaling, and gathering materials from the landscape. These encounters became the foundation for a body of work intimately connected to the desert’s geology, ecology, and elemental forces.
