THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2026 | 6–9 PM: ARTECHOUSE hosts a special VIP preview party to debut Twilight Zone: Hidden Wonders of the Ocean, an immersive journey into one of the largest, strangest and least understood habitats on Earth. Also opening is Janavi Mahimtura Folmsbee: Time and Tide, an exhibition featuring painting, sculpture, photography, lenticular works, and installation by this celebrated marine conservation artist.

Created by ARTECHOUSE Studio in collaboration with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), Twilight Zone takes visitors beneath the ocean’s surface into a realm where creatures create their own light, extraordinary organisms thrive in near-total darkness, and the largest animal migration on the planet takes place every night.

Monumental immersive visuals, an original musical score, interactive installations and extended-reality experiences transform cutting-edge ocean science into something visitors can see, hear and explore. Encounter the bizarre creatures of the deep, use sound and environmental DNA to uncover hidden life, and journey alongside WHOI’s underwater robot Mesobot into a world few humans have witnessed.

In the lobby, Time and Tide explores the ocean as a living record of movement, change and time. Folmsbee’s work draws from nearly two decades of scuba diving, underwater observation and documentation, scientific collaboration, and engagement with communities connected to marine environments.
