TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2026 | 7–10 PM: DACAMERA opens its 2026-27 season at the Wortham Theater Center with “Emily – No Prisoner Be,” a genre-defying production featuring acclaimed mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato and the award-winning string trio Time for Three.

Tickets $56-$91

Composed by Pulitzer Prize winner Kevin Puts, this 24-part song cycle draws from the vivid, introspective poetry of Emily Dickinson. The music-theater tour de force brings the fierce individuality of one of America’s greatest poets to life in a one-night-only performance. The evening marks both DiDonato’s DACAMERA debut and a special Houston homecoming for the Houston Grand Opera Studio alumna.
