EXHIBIT ON VIEW OCTOBER 10–NOVEMBER 20, 2026: BLOC Gallery presents Where Light Touches Memory: Brooke Walzel, a solo exhibition by the Houston-based multidisciplinary artist exploring memory, impermanence and the passage of time through painting, printmaking and sculpture.

OPENING RECEPTION: October 10, 2026 | 6–9 PM

Drawing on her background in darkroom photography, Walzel combines layered self-portraits, cyanotypes, organic materials and quilt-like sewn compositions that blur the boundaries between photography, painting and textile traditions. The exhibition creates a contemplative space where memory, the present and imagination converge.
