FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2026 | 7–10 PM: Jardín Montrose presents Untitled: After Dark, featuring the opening reception for Jacques Louis Vidal: Plot Tweest, curated by Nature of Things, music by Ice House Radio and a continuous-loop screening of Harrod Blank’s 1992 documentary Wild Wheels, exploring the artists, eccentric vehicles and creative culture of the art car phenomenon. The opening event is hosted by Night Gallery.

Plot Tweest marks Jacques Louis Vidal’s first exhibition in Houston, where he grew up. The exhibition takes its title from software Vidal engineered to help produce his drawings with a plotter. His works on paper move between the artist’s hand and automated processes, creating intricate accumulations of marks and mechanisms. Small sculptural works that are carved plywood caverns he calls “instruments of…” further explore processes that layer and condense information into visual histories and instruments of memory and thought.

Vidal is also participating in Untitled Art, Houston with Jardín Artist Market.

EXHIBIT ON VIEW: October 2–November 29, 2026
