SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 2026 | 1–3 PM: Rather than closing “Growing Up Wise” with a traditional reception, Heidi Vaughan Fine Art invites visitors to join artist Vivian Wise for “To Be Continued” – an afternoon of conversation, reflection, and creative exchange on the exhibition’s final day, including poetry readings.

Vivian Wise and gallery owner Heidi Vaughan will discuss the artist’s personal journey, creative process, and the stories behind the multimedia memoir that inspired “Growing Up Wise.” Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the artist about the themes of memory, healing, resilience, and self-discovery that run throughout the exhibition.

The program will also feature readings by Houston poets Jamie Danielle, Marie Posthumus, Laura Lillia, and Chris Wise, who have created original ekphrastic poems in response to selected works in the exhibition. Their readings offer a unique opportunity to experience the artwork through another artistic lens, highlighting the dialogue between visual art, storytelling, and poetry.
