SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2026 | 1–4 PM: Surroundings hosts a reception with ceramic artist John O’Brien celebrating the launch of his latest collection of functional ceramic works. Inspired by the moon’s cratered surface and shifting reflections of light and darkness, the Selene Collection explores texture, form and contrast.

Also on view is Avian Moments, a wall installation inspired by O’Brien’s experiences birdwatching. The works are part of his broader Moments collection, which reflects on remembered encounters with culture and nature.

Meet the artist and experience his newest work in person.
