SATURDAY, AUGUST 29, 2026 | 1–2 PM: Join us for an artist talk with Nohelia Vargas Bolívar, celebrating her installation El Ensayo, on view now at Spring Street Studios.

EXHIBITION ON VIEW JUNE 6–SEPTEMBER 5, 2026

El Ensayo is not a finished thing — it is a rehearsal, a draft, a becoming. In Spanish, “ensayo” holds both essay and rehearsal at once, refusing the distance between thinking and performing. Through painting, animation, and sculpture, Vargas Bolívar asks what we are beneath the names the world gives us. What if identity isn’t a destination, but an eternal path — and we are all caminantes, wanderers still rehearsing the self we have not yet become?
