SATURDAY, AUGUST 22, 2026 | 1–2 PM: Join us for an artist walkthrough at Inman Gallery with Demetrius Oliver, Sajeela Siddiq and Carl Suddath will talk about their works in the exhibition A Storm Held Still.

EXHIBITION ON VIEW JULY 18–AUGUST 29, 2026

Exploring abstraction across drawing, photography, painting, and textile sculpture, A Storm Held Still offers diverse meditations on atmosphere and perception. A sense of deep, layered space is shared across several works, from the cosmic pull of Erika Blumenfeld’s photographs, to the dense mark-making of Sajeela Siddiq’s drawings, to the portals of Robert Ruello’s paintings. Equally present is the permeability between two-and-three-dimensions: the folded sculpture of Carl Suddath’s works on paper, the shifting patterns of MJ Daines’ suspended textiles, and the illusionary quality of Demetrius Oliver’s spray enamels. Vibrant yet ethereal, the exhibition conjures a sense of controlled chaos, a reminder of forces larger than our own easing us into the humming stillness of the present moment.
