PHOTOGRAPHY “Shared Habitats Photo Walk with FotoFest, Bayou City Waterkeeper and Latino Outdoors” at Robert C. Stuart Park

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2026 | 8:30–11 AM: Join Bayou City Waterkeeper, FotoFest, and Latino Outdoors for a guided photo walk exploring the connections among water, birds, people, and place at Robert C. Stuart Park.
All levels of photography experience are welcome. Participants may use a phone, digital camera, or film camera, or simply join the walk to observe and learn.
Along the route, guides will invite participants to look closely at the wetland landscape, including the movement of water, the plants and wildlife that depend on it, evidence of human intervention, and the relationships connecting the park to the surrounding city.
Robert C. Stuart Park provides habitat for resident and migratory birds, demonstrating how natural and nature-based infrastructure can help manage stormwater, reduce flooding, improve water quality, and support healthier ecosystems.
Together, the group will consider what becomes visible when we slow down and pay attention, and how images can help us better understand, value, and protect the shared habitats around us.
After the walk, participants are invited to stay for refreshments and a kid-friendly activity station.
